Matti Kalkamo (b. 1968, Tampere) hopes that his art will challenge the viewer’s imagination, sense of humor, and worldview. The artists’ works are three-dimensional reflections on what it means to be human; their tone ranges from mischievous to serious. Rather than offering something pre-digested, Kalkamo seeks to develop ideas that take time to absorb – or are even difficult to digest.
