A new residency opportunity in London for Finnish and Finland-based sculptors!
We’re delighted to announce a new three-year residency programme for members of the Association of Finnish Sculptors, created in collaboration with the Royal Society of Sculptors in London and the Finnish Institute in the UK and Ireland.
The first residency is now open for applications.
The four-week residency will take place from 7 June 2027 at Dora House, the home of the Royal Society of Sculptors in South Kensington, London.
The residency offers a dedicated period for research, exploration, experimentation and professional exchange — a chance to step away from the everyday demands of practice and spend time engaging with London, its people, organisations, histories and spaces.
Rather than focusing on a finished outcome, the residency places emphasis on process: developing ideas, building connections, testing new approaches and allowing the city to become a catalyst for future work.
The resident will also have the opportunity to connect with the Royal Society of Sculptors’ professional community and access its expertise, networks and nationally important archive.
Who can apply?
The opportunity is open exclusively to members of the Association of Finnish Sculptors.
Application deadline: 3 November 2026
Residency taking place 7 June – 5 July 2027 in London, UK
This is the first of three residencies planned as part of the new programme, creating opportunities for Finnish sculptors to develop their practice, connections and ideas in London over the coming years.
