Restlessminds “Everything is Fine”

6.1.–28.1.2024

In their exhibition “Everything is fine” the artist duo Restlessminds explores different aspects on being a family member of a person with mental health problems. The topic is approached considering the diversity of both identities as well as mindsets. A key element in Restlessminds’ artistic approach is the viewer’s presence in the exhibition space and participation.

A previous part of the project “Everything is fine” has been exhibited in the group exhibition O.S.A. R.S.V.P. at Pro Artibus’s Elverket Gallery in 2023. For Galleria Sculptor, the artist duo has continued working on the project and made new works on the theme.

Restlessminds is an artist duo consisting of Fabian Olovson (b.1981) and Emily Al-Ghussein (b.1977). Olovson and Al-Ghussein studied at the Chelsea School of Art in London and Konstfack in Stockholm. Both artists graduated in 2014 with a Master’s degree in Sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki. Olovson and Al-Ghussein are active in the field of experimental art and have realized several major art projects both in Finland and internationally. In 2017, they were awarded the Young Artist Promise grant from the Merita Art Foundation. In their artistic practice they combine different materials eagerly and work with photography, video, performance, and sculpture.

The exhibition is supported by Nordic Culture Point, The Swedish Arts Grants Committee and The Swedish-Finnish Cultural Foundation.
